MRN
Medical Record Number — the EHR's internal patient ID.
MRN (Medical Record Number) is the internal identifier an EHR assigns each patient. MRNs are not portable between systems — when migrating, you'll either map old MRN → new MRN or generate fresh MRNs and keep the old one as an external ID for cross-reference.
