Cloud appointment booking and client management for salons and spas
Log In to Timely
Open your browser and navigate to gettimely.com. Click "Log In" at the top and enter your business email and password. Timely is a fully cloud-based scheduling and client management platform.
Tip:
You need Owner or Admin access in Timely to access the Reports section. Staff logins may have restricted access to client data exports.
Navigate to Reports
In the top navigation bar, click "Reports". The Timely reports hub will open with categories listed.
Find the Client Reports Section and Click Customer List
Within the Reports hub, look for a heading or category labeled "Customers" or "Clients". Under this section, click "Customer List" to open the client list report.
Review Filter Options (Optional)
The Customer List report gives you several filter options: you can filter by date range, location, staff member, client status, or VIP status. For a full MedMasters export, leave all filters at their defaults (no restrictions) so all clients are included — both active and inactive. Timely includes both by default.
Tip:
Timely's Customer List is very comprehensive — it includes fields like last appointment date, total appointment count, weeks absent, and next appointment date out of the box. No additional configuration is needed.
Click the CSV Export Button
In the Customer List report view, look for the "(.csv)" link near the top-right of the report. Click it. Timely will generate and download the CSV file directly to your computer. There is no waiting period — the download is instant.
Send to MedMasters
Upload the downloaded CSV using the secure MedMasters upload link provided by your account manager.
Note:
Do not email client data. Always use the secure MedMasters upload portal.
Which MedMasters data fields are available in this EHR export.
Timely may export first and last name as a combined "Name" column rather than separate fields — MedMasters can handle this format
Timely is based in New Zealand and is very popular in Australia, UK, and international markets — US users may notice AU/NZ date formatting (DD/MM/YYYY) in exports
No insurance tracking — all clients are self-pay in Timely
Timely is one of the fastest EHR exports available — Reports → Customer List → CSV takes under 4 minutes
The export includes a "Weeks Absent" column which is extremely useful for identifying lapsed clients without needing to calculate from last visit date
Timely's new interface supports column customization and sorting before export — hover over column headers to sort, or use the column selector to remove unwanted fields
Sync type: two way
Open Integrations in Timely
Log in to Timely and open the main menu. Click "Setup," then click "Integrations."
Enable Two-Way Calendar Sync
Scroll to the Calendar Sync section. Ensure "Two-way" is selected (not one-way), then click "Save."
Authorize with Google
You will be redirected to Google. Log in to your Google account and click "Allow" to authorize Timely to read and write to your calendar.
Select Your Calendar and Location
From the dropdown, select the Google Calendar you want to sync with. Set the default location that will be assigned to events imported from Google Calendar into Timely.
Save and Verify
Click "Save." Timely will now send your bookings to Google Calendar and import busy blocks from Google back into your Timely schedule. Allow a few minutes for the initial sync.
• Two-way sync: Timely bookings appear in Google Calendar and Google events marked as "busy" block your Timely availability.
• If you previously had a one-way iCal subscription pushing Timely to Google Calendar, remove that subscription from Google Calendar before setting up the two-way sync to avoid conflicts.
• Only future events sync when you first connect — historical appointments are not imported.
• Each staff member must set up their own Google Calendar connection.
Got your export? Now what?
The Storage & Handoff Playbook covers verifying, securing, and using the data for compliance, migration, or analytics.
