Scheduling and POS, common at smaller medspas and aesthetic clinics
Sign in to Square Dashboard
Open squareup.com/dashboard in a desktop browser. Owner or full-access employee role is required.
Open Customers → Directory
Click "Customers" in the left sidebar, then "Directory". The full customer list opens.
Export Customer List
Click the "Export" button at the top-right of the customers list. Choose "Customer Directory" → CSV. The file downloads to your browser.
Tip:
For >5,000 customers, Square emails the export instead of streaming it — check the owner email account.
Send via Secure Upload Link
Upload the file using the secure link your MedMasters account manager provided. Do not email the CSV file directly — patient contact data must be transmitted securely.
Note:
Never send patient data as a plain email attachment. Patient data sent over unencrypted email violates HIPAA. Use only the secure upload link provided by MedMasters.
Which MedMasters data fields are available in this EHR export.
Square is a payments+scheduling tool, not a clinical EHR — clinical notes are not part of the export.
Customer directory includes any customer who paid (retail buys, walk-ins) — filter by appointment-bookings to keep only patients.
Use Square's "Customer Groups" to pre-segment dormant/loyal/new before exporting.
Cross-reference with your appointment system to keep only true patients.
Got your export? Now what?
The Storage & Handoff Playbook covers verifying, securing, and using the data for compliance, migration, or analytics.
