Salon and spa software widely adopted by medical spas
Log In to Phorest
Open your browser and go to your Phorest login page (typically at go.phorest.com or your salon's custom URL). Enter your manager or owner email and password. Phorest is cloud-based — no desktop software is needed.
Tip:
You must have Manager or Owner access level in Phorest to access client reports and export data.
Navigate to Marketing → Client Export
In the left sidebar, click "Marketing". Then click "Client Export". This is the official Phorest export tool for getting a CSV of your client database.
Select Export Type
On the Client Export screen, click "Emails (CSV)" to download a CSV of opted-in clients.
Note:
IMPORTANT: The "Emails (CSV)" export only includes clients who have opted in for email marketing — this is NOT your complete client list. Most practices will be missing a large portion of their clients. Use the method in the tip below to get your full database.
Tip:
To export ALL clients: go to Reports → Top Clients, set the number shown to your total client count (or higher), then export. This captures every client regardless of email opt-in status. Send this file — not the Emails (CSV) — to MedMasters.
Download the CSV File
Click "Emails (CSV)" and Phorest will download a CSV file to your computer. The file contains client contact details including first name, last name, email address, and mobile number.
Verify and Send
Open the downloaded CSV to confirm it contains the required client fields: First Name, Last Name, Mobile/Phone, Email. If you used the Top Clients report instead, confirm those fields are present as well.
Tip:
Phorest refers to patients as "clients" — the data is the same as patient records in medical-style EHRs.
Send to MedMasters
Upload the downloaded CSV using the secure MedMasters upload link provided by your account manager.
Note:
Do not email client data. Always use the secure MedMasters upload portal.
Which MedMasters data fields are available in this EHR export.
Phorest calls patients "clients" — this is standard spa/salon terminology, not a data difference
Phorest does not track insurance payers — all medspa clients using Phorest are self-pay
Phorest includes "Total Spend" in the export, which is not a required MedMasters field but can be useful
Phorest is popular with high-end salons and medical spas — the export is very clean with all core fields present
The "Last Visit" date in Phorest refers to the most recent completed appointment
Multi-location medspas can filter by location before exporting if needed
Got your export? Now what?
The Storage & Handoff Playbook covers verifying, securing, and using the data for compliance, migration, or analytics.
