Patient experience platform with scheduling and EHR sync
Log In to NexHealth
Open your browser and navigate to app.nexhealth.com. Enter your admin email and password. NexHealth is fully web-based — no desktop software is needed.
Tip:
You need an Admin role to export patient data. Provider and front-desk roles may not see the export option.
Navigate to the Patients Tab
In the top navigation bar, click "Patients". This opens the full patient list view. You will see all synced patients from your connected dental EHR (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, etc.).
Apply Filters (Optional)
If you only want active patients, use the Filter button to set Status = "Active". To export all patients (recommended for MedMasters), leave filters cleared. NexHealth will export all currently visible patients.
Tip:
For the fullest dataset, do not apply filters. MedMasters processes both active and inactive patients.
Click the Export Button
Look for an "Export" button in the top-right area of the patient list. Click it and select "Export to CSV". NexHealth will generate the file and either download it immediately or email it to your admin email.
Note:
For large patient lists (5,000+), NexHealth may email the export link instead of downloading directly. Check your inbox within a few minutes.
Download and Review the File
Open the downloaded CSV in Excel. Verify you can see columns for first name, last name, phone, email, last appointment date, and patient status.
Tip:
NexHealth syncs data from your primary EHR — so the data quality reflects what's in your underlying dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, etc.).
Send to MedMasters
Upload the CSV file using the secure MedMasters upload link provided by your account manager.
Note:
Do not email the CSV. Always use the secure MedMasters upload portal.
Which MedMasters data fields are available in this EHR export.
NexHealth is a patient engagement layer that syncs from your primary dental EHR — the data reflects what's in that source system
Visit count may be lower than expected if the practice used a different booking system before NexHealth
Large exports may be emailed rather than downloaded immediately
NexHealth exports are generally very clean because they pull from structured dental EHR data
If you have both NexHealth and a primary EHR (e.g., Dentrix), export from NexHealth for faster results — it will have the same data
Got your export? Now what?
The Storage & Handoff Playbook covers verifying, securing, and using the data for compliance, migration, or analytics.
