Sign in to Dentrix Ascend
Open your Dentrix Ascend URL in a desktop browser. You need Practice Admin or Office Manager role to access patient list reports.
Open Reports → Power Reporting
Click "Reports" → "Power Reporting". Choose "Patient List" as the report type. Set filters: Status = All, Date Range = All Time.
Configure and Run
Add columns: First Name, Last Name, Mobile Phone, Email, Last Visit, Status, Insurance, Total Visits. Click "Run Report".
Tip:
Save the column configuration as a custom template for monthly re-runs.
Export to CSV
Click "Export" → CSV or Excel. Save to a secure location.
Send via Secure Upload Link
Upload the file using the secure link your MedMasters account manager provided. Do not email the CSV file directly — patient contact data must be transmitted securely.
Note:
Never send patient data as a plain email attachment. Patient data sent over unencrypted email violates HIPAA. Use only the secure upload link provided by MedMasters.

Cloud version of legacy Dentrix — UI and field names differ. Don't follow Dentrix (desktop) instructions.
Power Reporting is on the Standard and Premium tiers; basic accounts have limited reporting.
Set up Power Reporting templates at the practice level so all locations share them.
Filter by Recall Type for targeted reactivation segments (cleaning, exam, etc.).
