Export Steps
Sign in to AdvancedMD
Open login.advancedmd.com and sign in. Admin or Office Manager role is required for patient list export.
Open Reports → Patient Demographics
Click Reports → PM Reports → "Patient Demographic Export". Configure Status = All, Date = All Time.
Run the Report
Click "Run". For larger practices, the report may take a few minutes. AdvancedMD shows progress in the report queue.
Export to CSV/Excel
Once the report completes, click "Export" and choose CSV or Excel. Save to a HIPAA-compliant location.
Note:
AdvancedMD reports include PHI — never save to a personal Downloads folder.
Send via Secure Upload Link
Upload the file using the secure link your MedMasters account manager provided. Do not email the CSV file directly — patient contact data must be transmitted securely.
Note:
Never send patient data as a plain email attachment. Patient data sent over unencrypted email violates HIPAA. Use only the secure upload link provided by MedMasters.
Field Availability
Which MedMasters data fields are available in this EHR export.
Known Quirks
CamelCase field names with no spaces — adjust headers before sharing with non-technical staff.
Includes both PM (practice management) and EHR sides — make sure you're running the PM patient demographics report, not the EHR encounter report.
Pro Tips
Save the report as a favorite under "My Reports" for one-click monthly reruns.
AdvancedMD has a separate "Recall Patient List" report — useful for reactivation alone if you don't need full demographics.
